The world has marvelled at the efforts of Kevin Sinfield, Rob Burrow and Doddie Weir to support the MND Community raising awareness and much needed funds. March of the Day is aiming to provide something similar in the world of professional football. The event, a 178 mile walk over two and a half days now sees over 50 former footballers including Chris Kirkland, Paul Scholes, John McGinlay, Dom Matteo, Jeff Whitley, Jill Scott and Jamie Hoyland coming out in support of Stephen Darby, Marcus Stewart and the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation. The Professional Footballers’ Association have come on board as the main sponsor. The walk on March 22-24, 2024 starts at Bradford City, finishes at Liverpool and visits 17 clubs on the way including Leeds United, Huddersfield Town, Manchester City, Manchester United, Bolton Wanderers, Burnley and Everton.

There is a core team of around 25 who will be walking in rotation from start to finish. A host of ex-pros are joining at points throughout. Teams of football supporters and those keen to support the MND Community will be joining throughout the event.

Registration as an open walker is now closed!!
