Felly’s Football Tour will happen in 2021 though we are yet to finalise a date.

Felly is Peter Fell, a former PE Teacher from Barrow-in-Furness. Since he lost his battle with Motor Neurone Disease, his good friends have been working tirelessly in his memory. they set up Felly’s Fund. This is used to help local MND sufferers. With his love of sport in mind, Felly’s Fund is also used to support local teams and kits. They have also made a sizeable donation to the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

Felly’s Football Tour is a combined walking and cycling tour around football grounds in the north west of England. Felly was a huge Liverpool FC fan so it’s only right that we start at Anfield. The event is being arranged with Felly’s great friend, Paul Stanway. Paul is recruiting a team of 12 walkers to complete the non-stop route of 130 miles finishing at Fleetwood Town. Then cyclists will take over to complete the 70 mile journey to Barrow AFC. The final stage will be te ‘Family Mile’ where walkers of all ages will complete the final mile back to Furness Cricket Club.

More details will be available on this event, which we hope will take place in the Spring of 2021, later in the year.
