Scottish March of the Day
Route and Timings

The Scottish March of the Day is a fundraising walk around football teams From Glasgow to Edinburgh. The journey visits 22 stadiums in total. The event is to raise funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, 

The route will take two days to complete. A core team of 28 will be recruited to cover the full distance, 14 representing each Foundation. The overall route of 146 miles has been split into 38 stages each around 4 miles long. Seven of the core team will be allocated to walk each of the leg. The walk is continuous and the core walkers will complete the route in relay. 

Open Walkers will be able to register in teams of up to six to join any part of the day time stages. These stages include

  • Friday – Motherwell to St Mirren
  • Saturday – Partick Thistle to Stirling Albion
  • Sunday – Dunfermline Athletic to Murrayfield

Registration for core walkers costs £10 per person, which covers the cost of their event t-shirts. Registration can be completed online.
