In March, Roads for Rimmer, a 21 mile fundraising walk for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation raised over £37,000 in memory of one of the Foundation’s co-founders, Chris Rimmer, who died in 2022. One of the teams taking part included Meg and Thomas who run the Hightown Pub and Kitchen in Liverpool. They immediately pledge to stage an event to raise additional funds in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease. That event takes place on Saturday, July 22, 2023 (see below for full details). The event includes music throughout the day and various stalls and activities making it perfect for the family. Food will also be available throughout.

Each of us have a 1 in 300 lifetime risk of an MND diagnosis and as yet there is no cure. The Foundation has three aims.

  • To raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease
  • To support those with MND and their families as they adjust to life with this life-limiting condition
  • To fund important research into a cure for the disease.

Come and help Meg and Thomas raise funds for the Foundation. There is also an opportunity to enter a raffle for some amazing prizes including a signed Jamie Carragher Liverpool shirt, signed James Milner and Tommy Smith photos and some goalkeeping gloves signed by Chris Kirkland.
